Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

DutchTaxAdvice (Haarlem, the Netherlands) is the controller for the personal data processed on this platform. We process your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), solely to prepare and submit your 30% ruling application and to operate the Service.

1. What we collect

  • Identity and contact data: name, email, phone, date of birth, address and residence history.
  • Application data: your BSN, employment and employer details, and answers from the eligibility check.
  • Documents: the files you upload (contract, passport/ID, diploma, and similar), which are also read automatically to verify them.
  • Payment data: payment status and method via our payment provider Mollie (we never see full card details).
  • Technical data: logs needed for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we protect it

The production service uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Your BSN is additionally encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and is masked in browser views. Uploaded documents are access-controlled and stored in Cloudflare R2. Access to an application is limited by account role and application ownership. We also check where our service providers store data, and the agreements we have with them, before each production release.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only as needed to deliver the Service: the Belastingdienst (your application), Mollie (payments), our hosting, database and storage providers, our email provider (transactional messages), and AI-assisted document verification run under our instructions and data-processing agreements. We never sell your data.

4. How long we keep it

We keep application data for as long as needed to complete and support your application and to meet our legal (including tax-administration) retention obligations, after which it is deleted. You can request earlier deletion of data we are not legally required to retain.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your data, and object to processing. Email 30percent@dutchtaxadvice.nl and we will respond within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch data protection authority).
